Always up to try new restaurants, this one didn't disappoint. It was a cute little cafe. The service was excellent. Waitress checked in on us often. We were very surprised with the portions. It was very awesome. We had enough to bring home for later.

Delicious food. Lots of options to choose from. Great customer service. Feels like at home ambiance.

I wanted to let management know that a hostess/waitress there may have saved my life and the lives of my dogs at this restaurant. About a month ago, I was on my morning walk down Redlands Blvd when I realized a strange man was following me. Not just walking behind me, as it became very obvious very quickly that he was following me, and continued to do so even after I confronted him and told him to stop. Since I didn't know his intentions and I didn't want him to know where I lived, I quickly walked to the first business I knew that was open, Family Homestyle Cafe. I explained the situation and asked the hostess (not sure of her name) if I could wait in the lobby area for a few minutes with my dogs until the man (hopefully) lost interest and left. The staff would have totally been in the right to have us leave, especially since I had two dogs with me (not service animals) and this establishment serves food. Instead, the hostess showed genuine concern, offered to call the police, and went outside to keep tabs on where the man was and what he was doing. After 5-10 minutes of staring at the restaurant from the sidewalk, the man wandered off, and the hostess let me know so I could continue home safely. I wish I had posted this sooner, but I believe your employee may have very likely prevented my dogs and me from becoming injured (or worse) at the hands of this man by allowing me to wait in the restaurant. I have frequented this establishment many times in the past too, always had great service and food. It's nice to know that their employees are genuinely good people as well. Like Black Bear diner with the portion sizes but at a more affordable price. Quality of food was on point. Freshly squeezed orange juice, pancakes the size of a large pizza. I prefer my breakfast food to not be over seasoned by the cooks at restaurants so I can control how salty or peppery my eggs or potatoes are. Aside from the hospital style plates, cups and cutlery I have no complaints about the food or presentation. Service was impeccable, never had to ask for a coffee refill, all syrups, napkins, etc. were brought with the food. We could not want for anything more. And the beauty of it all, you are not rushed out. The restaurant is in a strip mall style complex, the restaurant is not loud even when at capacity unlike other restaurants. I was very satisfied. Reason why it didn't earn 5 stars is because the restaurant looks older and the furniture, plates, cutlery, reflect that.

Food - 5 Stars Service - 5 Stars Atmosphere - 5 Stars This restaurant is awesome ! My daughter and I went on Sunday, eas it busy... Yes, did we have a wait... Yes 15 minutes. As soon as we were seated and looking over the menu, our server came over. My daughter had the pancake special, I ordered the Spanish omelet. The food was fabulous the omelet was fluffy, the homefries were terrific My daughter said the pancakes were very good her eggs cooked to perfection and the bacon was very good not salty. We both agree that when we come to stay in the Inland Empire we will come here for all of our meals I was very impressed

Gloria gave us the best service ever. We've never had better service. She was friendly, seemed to love her job and gave her personal recommendations when asked. I wouldn't have tried the blueberry crepes if not for her and those ended up being my favorite ones. The French toast were also great. We would come back here again.
